Biography
It all started in a small high school classroom, where Kadry took his first class in Photography; not realizing that this would be a changing moment in his life. Fortunately for him, it was taught by one of the leading Photojournalists in the Arab world, Randa Shaath, which gave Kadry the opportunity to learn from her experience. Ever since then, Kadry and his camera became inseparable. Kadry pursued his interest by enrolling in advanced photography courses at the American University in Cairo under the tutelage of legendary American photographer, Robert Lee-Jones. While at university, Kadry was appointed Photo Editor of the illustrious AUC newspaper, Caravan; he additionally co-founded Shutter “Stoppers,” the university’s first photography club.
His photography journey did not stop there, as he enrolled in further courses at York University in Canada. He was later featured in an article in Show Business magazine, under the title "Priceless Shots." One of Kadry’s finest achievements was finishing in first place in a national photography contest between all universities in Egypt, which was hosted by Cairo University. Moreover, one of his photographs was featured on National Geographic’s website.
Kadry has recently completed a diploma from one of the top Photography schools in the world (Speos Photographic Institute), alongside a filmmaking diploma in one of Europe's most reputable schools (Prague Film School). Kadry’s photography passion has allowed him to discover the world through his lens, visiting over 40 countries around the world.
After starting a career in Marketing and Advertising, he took a leap of faith, and now Kadry’s dream of pursuing a professional career in Filmmaking & Photography has become a reality.
